Anyone built a semantic layer on top of their DV2.X solution yet?
What was your experience, did you have any issues with stakeholder engagement?
What sort of tooling did you use, any pros/cons?
Interested to see people engaging with the tech.
DV mainly .. data.
If you in Snowflake, it supports native semantic view objects and with basic RBAC you can point different target business areas to the correct views (where a metric/kpi can mean something different/calculated differently etc).
If your compute isn’t Snowflake (my expertise) then you have to check what native features does your compute offers.
On a different perspective one can always built on BV ontology support objects + custom views to build yourself semantic accesses from DV.

My bad i was meaning these new Agentic Semantic Layers not the traditional approach. I’ve seen many businesses looking for quick English language querying of their data infrastructure so the Analytics team can focus on the big questions!
Snowflake’s CoCo has some good out of the box features but isn’t quite what I’m meaning.
